Since my first CD-RW, I use Lite-on, and it still working fine. This new one same as good as my old one but faster in speed. The only thing is it's noiser than other. but it's not a problem for me.

This was a good purchase for my mother's computer who just needed CD capabilities not DVD. If you are building your own system, definately go for a CD/DVD combo.

I've had this burner for about 1 year. It works but it is extremly loud after a few months of light use. It works well I guess. Just a cheap burner in my opinion.

A decent CD Burner. If you're on the market for a standard CD Burner at a decent cost, this is the one. This burner is ale to perform just as well as most other name brands out there. The only downside to this unit would be some of the noise that can come out of the unit. Be sure you tighten the bolts when attaching this to your case. Any loose screws will cause undesired noise.

I currently use this on an AMD Athlon 2200+ with 1 Gig of Ram, but even while it's burning, I notice no slow down in computer speed. With the Smart-Burn addition to this I haven’t had one coaster yet. Works well with the Nero Burning ROM, Nero Express, and all the other Nero programs it comes with. Although I can't seem to take out the time delay between songs, when burning an Audio CD. Other than that one fault I highly recommend this speedy burner for any computer system, old or new.

Overall, this thing is great. It's sturdy, built to last and endure, and it's very reliable. I had one problem getting it installed but i figured out the problem and i think it was just in my case as i mentioned. I also like how liteon doesnt put there logo all over their products.

I put this drive in my budget system that I recently built. I thought I really had no use to put a DVD burner in so I put this one in and am very satisfied. It does it's job well and Liteon seems to always deliver when it comes to optical drives. I would definately recommend this to anyone shopping for a CD writer.
