I believe this is my second 2TB drive from Western Digital. It has Great storage and a great 5 years warranty. There fast and reliable. Great for storage and backups. Would recommend to everyone.

I had quite the history with WD lately. I have always been a customer of theirs. More than a year now, I have had two 1TB blacks running in RAID0. No issues what-so-ever except that these bad boys are LOUD * knock on wood *. Then I wanted a drive for storage and went with their Green line of drives. Worst idea ever. Granted, they are fast, cheap, and quiet for what they are (bulk storage drives) but I don't know if I just were unlucky or something, but the first failed after 300 hours and the replacement failed too after 30 hours. WD RMA service was GOOD and helped me throughout the entire process. They even paid for the return and sent me a black drive of the same capacity instead. Meanwhile I bought another one from NCIX this time with Express coverage (price matched to 149.79 dollars) to add some data redundancy. It's been a month now and everything is running as it should.
To sum up : Black drives are THE REAL DEAL (although they ARE louder than what you'd normally expect and a little bit pricier). The latest green drives are ABSOLUTE garbage. Fortunately, WD have shown that they care about their customers and that alone should drive you to do business with them.

This is the loudest hard drive I've had since a 1986 Seagate 20 MB hard drive. While seeking it can be easily heard in the next room. The idle noise is on the edge of acceptable.
Excellent product. It was a great price and was delivered the next day. I would recommend this product to anyone wanting a good deal on lots of space. Also, all my programs and my media collection have no problems.

I picked up this drive to combine with my 500 GB WD steam games drive that I filled up. Had no issues with combining them into a single 2.5 TB drive. I didn't even have to format the 500 GB one.
Does exactly what I want it to- store and run all my games. Got it to lessen the burdon on a Seagate 2TB which was nearly full. The price is a little high, but hard drives aren't something that should be skimped on.
Always been a fan of the Western Digital drives, and have never had one crash... yet.

Product Warranty
First 30 days limited warranty through NCIX.com. The remainder of the two year warranty is provided directly by the manufacturer.
Warranty length may vary per specific model. Western Digital Raptor and Caviar RE series enterprise drives are covered by a 5 year warranty. Caviar and Caviar Blue & Green desktop drives are covered by a 2 year warranty for OEM drives, and a 1 year warranty for Retail.
Warranty coverage for drives is covered by NCIX for the first thirty (30) days with the remainder of the warranty covered by Western Digital.
