I've been running a pair of these in my FreeNAS box in Raid 1 for a few months now, and they've been great. The only problem is I'm running out of space... I see they're on sale again... Hmmm... I believe another purchase is in my future!

Snagged one of these during a sale, to use as a data drive in a desktop PC (OS is on an SSD). It's been running super quiet and cool so far. No complaints, you can always count on WD for quality drives.

Just got two of these and paired with the Synology D212j NAS enclosure. Setup was a snap and everything working out of the box but what was really impressive is that with two of these running in raid, you can barely here there. Very little to no vibration which is a far cry from my older WD 500gb drive of years past.
These drives are very nice for the price and you can't beat WD drives for longevity and stability.

Received both drives in quick order with free shipping! I am replacing my previous 2 TB WD Caviar Green with these two Red drives. The Ready NAS Duo immediately started initializing the first Red drive( I had to do some software updates on my Green drive before the NAS would recognize it). So far the first drive works as advertised,
I love the extra little bit they add over the green drives heat and all that is way down and the vibration and other NAS features rock. Pick the drive up while on and you can almost not even tell its on such a smooth running drive. I will be investing in many more Red series drive soon and even be swapping out my non NAS green desktop drives to Reds to cut heat and vibration as the difference is that big with a small speed boost to boot.

Product Warranty
First 30 days limited warranty through NCIX.com. The remainder of the two year warranty is provided directly by the manufacturer.
Warranty length may vary per specific model. Western Digital Raptor and Caviar RE series enterprise drives are covered by a 5 year warranty. Caviar and Caviar Blue & Green desktop drives are covered by a 2 year warranty for OEM drives, and a 1 year warranty for Retail.
Warranty coverage for drives is covered by NCIX for the first thirty (30) days with the remainder of the warranty covered by Western Digital.
