Tea is a matter of taste, so Cuisinart introduces a new programmable tea steeper that lets tea lovers call the shots. Preset water temperatures ensure each variety of tea steeps at the proper temperature. A countdown steeping timer can be adjusted to increase or decrease steeping time according to taste. Or remove the stainless tea infuser to turn this tea steeper into a kettle by putting on the “kettle lid”; and heat up to 1.2 liters of water fast.

I get really good tea with this tea maker, you can adjust the temperature and the steep duration. BUT ... I bought this tea maker on 28 December, the part (TEA-100BH) began to crack after a few usage and i really take care of that part because a friend of mine have the same model and the same part already cracked but he leave the basket holder (TEA-100BH) on the Kettle all the time, so i thought i should remove mine just after the tea was ready (so it doesn't take to much of temperature expansion). But mine cracked too on February 1st. So i called customer support and the part cost 23$ or if like me the tea maker is under warranty, you'll have to send the part and they will send you another within 10 to 15 days....
So in summary, knowing this part will crack, each 4 weeks you'll have 15 days not being able to make tea...
