Designed to support the latest Intel SandyBridge processors, the SAPPHIRE Pure Black P67 Hydra combines the Intel P67 chipset with the Lucid Hydra chip to allow a mix of graphics configurations to be used The board had many state of the art features such as on-board USB3.0, two sets of SATA III as well as SATA II ports, four dual channel DDR3 memory slots and 3 Gen2 (x16/x8/x8) and one Gen1 (x4) PCI-Express expansion slots as well as a host of peripheral connections and on-board 8-channel audio. The SAPPHIRE Pure Black P67 Hydra has many features to support ‘overclocking’. The power sections are highly stable, featuring solid capacitors and SAPPHIRE Diamond Black chokes. BIOS options help optimize settings and SAPPHIRE TriXX gives easy access to performance tuning and status monitoring.

i bought this to go with a 2500k i had traded for, its a great board, there is no sli option but the hydralogix chip makes it semi possible, came with 6 satas and thats about it.
The user guide of the motherboard is not clear, and there's it no good support on the Sapphire website. Doesn't support the XMP profile of my Patriot G2 Series Division 4GB 1X4GB PC3-12800 DDR3 1600MHz.

I've bought a couple of these for gaming builds - they work great with a 2500/2600k processor. Decent overclocking, good old fashioned BIOS, and room for plenty of expansion. I'd go for a Z77 board personally right now, but these Sapphire P67 ones are not a bad choice by any means.

I bought this board for a budget build. I was a little hesitant at first. But it went on sale for 74.99 and I couldn't resist. The board being fairly new had very little information about it on the net. I paired this with a i5 2500K and 8GB ram and a GTX 570. I was very very impressed. Excellent performance. I tried some overclocking and within half an hour I had it running at 4.6Ghz with some simple setting adjustments. Great board, wont work for SLI but single card set ups, and possibly crossfire no problem though!
