Bought to replace an aging WD drive in a laptop that was beginning to slow down. Works great in our HP 6730b. Much faster than the drive it replaced, PC feels brand new again. Drive runs quiet, and cooler than the old one. I've always trusted WD for mechanical drives, and will continue to.

Fast, affordable upgrade to any laptop. The warranty alone is a bonus compared to other manufacturers. 5yrs compared to 1yr for most others. I believe the "BLACK's" are the only model from WD with a 5yr warranty. Glad someone still has confidence in their product. Past experience took me away from this brand, but the 5yr warranty on this type has lured me in again. Hope to get many years of reliable service out of these WD Black drives.

Fast for a 2.5"er, cheap (used to be 65, but then the flooding happened T_T), and the warrenty w/ Western Digital is 3 years long, and transferable if you have to replace it (gotta e-mail them afterwards saying transfer serial # x's warrenty to my new one, # y, though).

This hdd is suprisingly fast for 2.5 inches. I purchased it on sale, and am very pleased with the speed increase in my laptop. However, this hdd tends to be loud, but i can understand it while under the loads. Overall, i will most definetly pick up another

Noisy noisy noisy drive. I guess it is expected when you pack a lot of hard drive into a tiny notebook computer space. Unusual gyroscopic properties makes the shock and 0 G sensor stop tripping (it could just be hardware compatibility with my MBP but who knows).

This product is fast and reliable. I have been using it on my PS3 and I haven't had a single problem with it. I was worried there might be some heating problems because it is 7200RPM instead of the default PS3 drive's 5400RPM, but no such problem came up.

Product Warranty
First 30 days limited warranty through NCIX.com. The remainder of the two year warranty is provided directly by the manufacturer.
Warranty length may vary per specific model. Western Digital Raptor and Caviar RE series enterprise drives are covered by a 5 year warranty. Caviar and Caviar Blue & Green desktop drives are covered by a 2 year warranty for OEM drives, and a 1 year warranty for Retail.
Warranty coverage for drives is covered by NCIX for the first thirty (30) days with the remainder of the warranty covered by Western Digital.
