After receiving my item about a week ago and gave it some time to try / figure it out it seems to do what it suppose to do. I can feel my hand blister/callous(I guess from the grip strength claim) and my wrist dont hurt as much recently. Though there are no clear instructions but a mini-cd which doesnt explain much about the use of the rpm meter inside the gyro. I can only make it spit out the words nsd powerball but it doesn't spit out numbers. I've seen pictures and videos of it spitting out numbers but as fast as i've got it, I can only get the words to light up. I've read on forums and one person said its still not fast enough if you get the letters to pop out, but thats just insane, because when I make it go crazy it feels like its about to fly out of my hands. You get what you pay for, I guess thats why the ones with the timer/reader on the outside cost about 50 dollars.

I've had wicked tendonitis for the past two years. In a desperate attempt to cure it, I bought this powerball. After using it for about 45 minutes each day for a couple weeks, I felt noticeably stronger grip strength. I ended up forgetting about it, but I've been 5 months without pain since that 2 week stretch.
The RPM Sports Powerball is one of the most unique and fun ways to work out, especially when you have multiple people and start a competition. And it really is a workout, at slow speeds you'll only feel it in your wrists, but at high speeds (10,000RPM+) you'll feel it all the way up your arm and into your shoulder. Depending on your technique even your pectoral and other upper body muscles will get a workout.
Loved this thing for the first few weeks and its use has slowed considerably. What's funny is after writing this review I want to get back to my place and have another run at it (if you break 10k on your first few tries, you have my respect).
Overall great little product, would recommend to anyone wanting to strengthen their wrists. Tricky at first but once you get the hang of it it's addicting. The LED lights are a cool feature. I would recommend waiting until they are on sale for about half price. 50$ is a bit steep, but its well worth the 25$ I paid.
